Throughout the COVID-19 outbreak, we are here to support you with your emotional health and well-being. We are aware that many people are understandably feeling concerned about COVID-19 – please refer to our recent blog post entitled Managing Worries in Relation to COVID-19. We encourage you to reach out and contact us if you feel you need some extra support, and we encourage all our current clients to maintain their ongoing psychology appointments.
In recognition of the financial strain caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, all clients will temporarily receive lowered fees for their videoconferencing or telephone appointments. As clinicians and administrators we have decided to prioritise continuing our work, and supporting our clients, through this stressful time.
The Australian government have stipulated, that those who have a mental health care plan AND are considered physically vulnerable to COVID-19, must be offered bulk-billed videoconferencing and telephone appointments. This includes clients who are in any of the following groups:
- currently pregnant; or
- have a child under 1yr old; or
- are already under treatment for a chronic health condition; or
- are immune compromised.
On a temporary basis we have decided to provide bulk-billing videoconferencing and telephone appointments for all of our clients who have a mental health care plan. If you do not have a mental health care plan, we are offering private appointments at a temporarily reduced fee of $126.50 per appointment.
